💧 Water resistance rating
What is the water resistance rating of my smartwatch?
All ICE Smart, ICE Fit, ICE Smart Junior, ICE Smart Junior Find Hub, ICE Smart Junior Find My, and ICE Kids 4G watches are rated IP68.
| Activity | IP68 (all smartwatches) |
|---|---|
| Perspiration / sweat | ✅ OK |
| Hand washing | ❌ Not recommended |
| Rain / splashes | ❌ Not recommended |
| Shower or bath | ❌ Not allowed |
| Swimming (pool or sea) | ❌ Not allowed |
| Water sports / diving | ❌ Not allowed |
🚿 Specific situations
Can I wear my smartwatch in the shower or hot tub?
No. Hot water and steam degrade the watch's internal seals over time and can damage sensors and internal components. Always remove your watch before showering, bathing, or entering a hot tub.
Can I swim with my smartwatch?
No. Despite the IP68 rating, ICE Smart, ICE Fit, ICE Smart Junior, and ICE Kids 4G watches are not designed for swimming or prolonged immersion. Doing so may cause irreversible damage.
Can my child wear the ICE Smart Junior while playing with water?
The watch can handle very brief, incidental contact with water (light splashes), but it should not be used in a pool, bath, or during water play. Keep it away from chlorinated water and do not press buttons while the watch is wet.
Can I use my smartwatch in cold weather or snow?
Yes — the watch can be worn in cold weather, but temperatures below −10°C (14°F) may reduce battery performance. Keep the watch under your sleeve when outside to maintain warmth and responsiveness. Snow and ice contact should be avoided for the same reasons as water exposure.
🧹 Cleaning after water or sweat exposure
How should I clean my smartwatch after exercise or light moisture?
- Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth immediately after exposure.
- Avoid chemical cleaners, soaps, or perfumes — plain water and a gentle cloth are best if needed.
- Let it air dry completely before charging or wearing it again.
- Do not charge the watch while it is wet.
⚠️ Water damage and warranty
What happens if my watch gets wet beyond its rated resistance?
If your smartwatch was exposed to water beyond what IP68 allows (shower, pool, rain, etc.) and stops functioning:
- Gently wipe the watch with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it completely.
- Do not use a hairdryer or any heating device.
- Do not press any buttons until fully dry.
- Place it in a dry, well-ventilated area for 24–48 hours.
My watch got wet and is no longer working — what should I do?
Follow the drying steps above. If the watch still does not function after 48 hours, contact our customer service. Please note that water damage from improper use will not be covered under warranty.
