The water resistance of Ice‑Watch quartz watches is indicated in ATM (atmospheres).
Each ATM level corresponds to specific authorized or non‑authorized uses.
Details by water resistance level
3 ATM
✅ Allowed:
- perspiration
- hand washing
❌ Not allowed:
- shower or bath
- prolonged rain exposure
- swimming
- water sports
5 ATM
✅ Allowed:
- perspiration
- hand washing
- car washing
- shower or bath
- splashes
- rain
❌ Not allowed:
- swimming
- water sports
- diving or jumping into water
10 ATM
✅ Allowed:
- perspiration
- hand washing / car washing
- shower or bath
- rain
- swimming
❌ Not allowed:
- intensive swimming
- apnea (free diving)
- water sports
- diving or jumping into water
20 ATM – 30 ATM
✅ Allowed:
- perspiration
- hand washing / car washing
- shower or bath
- rain
- swimming
- sport swimming
- apnea
- water sports
⚠️ To avoid:
- high‑pressure cleaners
- direct water jets on the watch
Never recommended (all levels)
Even with a highly water‑resistant watch:
- ❌ direct high‑pressure water jets
- ❌ strong impacts or sudden dives
- ❌ prolonged exposure to very hot water
These situations may cause water to enter the watch, even if it is water‑resistant.
Warranty information
- Water resistance may decrease over time (gasket wear, impacts).
- Water damage is not covered by the warranty, unless a manufacturing defect is proven.
- Use outside the specified water resistance level excludes any warranty coverage.
How to check the water resistance of your watch
The water resistance level is indicated:
- on the back of the case,
- on the packaging,
- or on the product description.
