Once the watch is turned on, press and hold button (2) — the dedicated Find Hub button — for 5 seconds. A melody will confirm that the function has been activated.

⚠️ You will have 10 minutes to complete the pairing after activation. If pairing is not completed within this time, the function will automatically turn off — simply press and hold button (2) for 5 seconds to reactivate it.

What do the two buttons on the watch do?

  • Button (1) — Power button: Turns the watch on/off and returns to the home screen.
  • Button (2) — Find Hub button: Manages all Find Hub / Localiser actions. This button is the only way to control the Find Hub function.

What is the battery life?

The watch offers a battery life of 3 to 5 days, depending on usage. Note: The Find Hub function shares the battery with the basic smartwatch features.

How do I charge the watch?

Only use the magnetic USB cable included in the box (max. 5V 2A). We recommend charging the watch for at least 2 hours before first use. Do not leave the watch unattended while charging.

💡 If the watch does not turn on after a long period of inactivity, clean the metallic charging contacts with a dry cloth to ensure a good connection.

📱 Compatibility & Apps

Is the watch compatible with iPhone / iOS?

The Find Hub geolocation function is not compatible with iPhone. It works exclusively with Android (version 12.0 or higher) via the Google Find Hub app (called "Localiser" in French).

The ICE JUNIOR app (for smartwatch functions like health tracking, notifications, etc.) is compatible with both iPhone (iOS 12.0+) and Android.

Which Android version is required?

The Find Hub / Localiser geolocation function requires Android 12.0 or higher. Please also ensure that your Google Play Services (GMS) are up to date.

Which apps do I need?

  • Google Find Hub (called "Localiser" in French) — for geolocation. Free, available on Google Play. Android only.
  • ICE JUNIOR — for all smartwatch functions (health, sports, notifications, games, etc.). Available on the App Store and Google Play.

Can I use the watch without a smartphone?

Yes! The watch works standalone for basic functions: time, alarm, pedometer, heart rate, games, and more. However, a smartphone is required for: watch face customization, message notifications, health/sleep data history, music control, and weather.

🔗 Pairing & Connection

How do I pair the watch with the Find Hub / Localiser app?

  1. Download the Google Find Hub app ("Localiser" in French) from the Google Play Store.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth and internet connection are active on your phone.
  3. Press and hold button (2) for 5 seconds to activate Find Hub (a melody will confirm it is turned on).
  4. Bring the watch close to your phone. An "ICE JUNIOR FH" pop-up will automatically appear.
  5. Tap "Connect" → "Accept & continue" → "Open app"
(FR: "Se connecter" → "Accepter et continuer" → "Ouvrir l'application").

The pairing pop-up does not appear on my phone. What should I do?

  2. Ensure the Find Hub function is activated on the watch (hold button (2) for 5 seconds — melody = active).
  3. Check that Bluetooth is turned on and you have a stable internet connection.
  4. Make sure your Google Play Services are up to date. To update manually: Settings → Apps → Google Play Services → App details → Update → Restart your phone.
  5. If you accidentally tapped "Close" on the pop-up: wait 5 minutes or restart your phone.
  6. If nothing works: try resetting the Find Hub function (see "How do I reset Find Hub?" below).

I see the message "Could not connect". What does it mean?

This issue is usually caused by outdated Google Play Services or a weak network signal. Update GMS (see above) and check your connection. Remember: the Find Hub function automatically turns off after 10 minutes if it doesn't connect successfully — press and hold button (2) for 5 seconds to reactivate it and try again.

The Find Hub function turned off by itself. Is this normal?

Yes, it is completely normal. If pairing to the phone is not completed within 10 minutes of activation, the function automatically turns off to save battery. Simply press and hold button (2) for 5 seconds to reactivate it.

How do I change the watch name in the app?

In the Find Hub / Localiser app, tap the Settings icon → pencil icon → edit name → tap "Rename".

📍 Location & Geolocation

How exactly does the Find Hub function work?

The watch leverages Google's Find My Device (Find Hub) crowdsourced network. Nearby Android devices anonymously and securely relay the watch's location without anyone being able to access this data. No SIM card or subscription is required.

Does the watch have GPS?

No. The watch does not have a built-in GPS chip. The location is determined via Google's Find Hub network with the help of nearby Android devices.

Is the location updated in real time?

No. Find Hub is not a real-time GPS tracking system. Location updates depend on nearby Android devices and may experience a slight delay — this is completely normal.

How do I locate the watch from my phone?

Open the Find Hub / Localiser app → tap your watch → tap "Find nearby" → tap "Play sound". The watch will emit a sound to help you find it. The closer you get, the larger the indicator on your screen will become. Range: up to 15 meters (10 meters in obstructed environments). To stop the sound: tap "Stop sound".

The watch's location is not updating. What should I do?

  1. Make sure location services are enabled in your phone's settings.
  2. Verify that the watch is turned on and charged.
  3. Check if the Find Hub function needs to be reset.
  4. Try moving to an area with better network connectivity.
  5. Remember: location updates may have a slight delay, which is normal for Find Hub.

Does it work abroad?

Find Hub relies on Google's global network of Android devices. It can work abroad as long as there are Android devices with Google Play Services nearby. Coverage may vary by region.

Does it work in areas with no network coverage?

In areas with no network coverage or no nearby Android devices, location updates may not be available. The function requires at least a few nearby Android devices to relay the signal.

Can I see where the watch has been (location history)?

No. The Find Hub / Localiser app only shows the last known location of the watch. No movement history is stored.

👨‍👩‍👧 Location Sharing

Can I share the watch's location with someone else (e.g., the other parent)?

Yes! You can share the watch's location with a trusted person directly from the Find Hub / Localiser app. This person will then be able to track the watch's location from their own phone.

How many people can track the watch at the same time?

The watch is paired with only one primary phone, but the location can be shared with other trusted people using the app's sharing feature.

🔄 Deactivation, Reset & Removal

How do I deactivate the Find Hub function?

Press button (2) 5 times within 2 seconds. Four different beeps will confirm successful deactivation.

How do I reset the Find Hub function?

  1. First, remove the watch from the Find Hub / Localiser app (see below).
  2. Check if Find Hub is active on the watch: press button (2) twice → you should hear the "be-bu-be" sound.
  3. Press button (2) quickly 4 times → "be-bu-be" sound.
  4. Press and hold button (2) for 8 seconds until a melody plays → reset completed successfully.

How do I remove the watch from the Find Hub / Localiser app?

  1. Open the app → go to the "Devices" tab → tap your watch's name.
  2. Tap the (...) icon → "Remove from Find Hub" (FR: "Supprimer de Localiser") → "Remove".
  3. You will see the confirmation: "Device removed".
⚠️ After removal, the Find Hub function may deactivate on the watch. Press and hold button (2) for 5 seconds to reactivate it before attempting to pair with a new phone.

🔒 Privacy & Data Security

Is my child's location data safe?

Yes. Google's Find Hub network uses end-to-end encryption. Location data is transmitted anonymously; nearby devices relay the signal without being able to read it.

Can other people see where the watch is?

No. Only the owner of the associated Google account (and anyone explicitly granted shared access) can see the watch's location.

Does Ice-Watch have access to location data?

No. The Find Hub function is managed entirely through Google's infrastructure. Ice-Watch has no access to location data.

Is the watch waterproof?

The watch has an IP68 rating, but this means it is only resistant to light moisture like sweat. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, bathing, or water sports.

Avoid: hot water, pool water, salt water, soap, perfume, sunscreen, and corrosive liquids.

⚠️ Water damage caused by improper use is not covered by the warranty.
